Locations of benches around the city
CityBench is a program administered by the New York City Department of Transportation (NYC DOT). It installed thousands of benches on the streets in all five boroughs of NYC, so that New Yorkers, elderly and disabled in particular, can have a place to rest. This map shows the location of all benches that are currently in use based on the open data provided by NYC DOT. You can download the dataset (shapefile) from here.
Each yellow circle on the map represents one location. Click on any of them to view the address and installation date of the selected location. Or you can enter a street address in the search box and the map will zoom to the area you are interested in.
